The FaceFormer is the patented training device for the Neurophysiological FaceFormer therapy, a cause-oriented, functional training program.
The exercises with the FaceFormer are successfully applied in a variety of indications. As a causal therapy, FaceFormer therapy can bring about a lasting improvement of the existing condition in numerous symptoms and functionally caused disorders.
FaceFormer therapy promotes muscles and functions of the cranial nerve activities of the head, face, mouth and throat region. Those funcional sections and their mechanisms are well coordinated, have far-reaching effects and support each other.
This must become a habit
Impairments and disorders of these function can provoke harmful effects in other segements of the human body. FaceFormer therapy therefore has a broad field of applications. Numerous scientific studies have convincingly proofed the efficacy of this causistic therapy against various disorders.
- Disorders when swallowing (dysphagia)
- Malfunctions of the tongue
- Impaired mastication
- Functionally related speech disorders
- To stop thumb sucking and lip biting behaviour
- Muscle weakness or paralysis of the mouth and/or face
- Before or after face, jaw and tongue surgery
- Malpositioned teeth, jaw anomalies
- Tooth grinding (Bruxism)
- CMD (craniomandibular dysfunction)
- Disorders of temporomandibular joints
- Preparation and adaption of dental restorations and implants

- Functional cosmetics
Technical overpressure breathing is regarded as the gold standard in the therapy of obstructive sleep apnea. However, many CPAP users do not withstand the concomitant strain permanently and give up at some point. The causes do not change, and every night without CPAP ventilation makes this aware again. Patients must use their “crutches” lifelong every night to reduce their breathing problems, because it is a purely symptomatic treatment.
Vertigo attacks may occur without any signs from one second to the other and often without visible external impact. Erronenous stimuli on the human equilibrium organ, which is associated with the inner ear and responsible for hearing, as well as central irritations in the human brain, are probably the most frequent causes. But also inflammation, heart disorders, circulatory problems, metabolic dyfunctions, vascular issues, psychological influences etc. must be considered.
It is indisputable fact that our body keeps itself in shape simply by active muscle training. This also applies to the head, neck and face region. Hence, regular FaceFormer training has remarkable positive cosmetic effects on the tension of facial muscles and skin, toning of the chin and neck region. It promotes a better facial symmetry, strengthens lip tension and mouth closure as well as it improves head and body posture …
In February 2011, a medical practitioner reported a striking observation. Some of his patients who suffered from diabetes applied FaceFormer training. Meanwhile, within a few days, the blood glucose content was noticeably reduced. The inventor of the FaceFormer, Dr. Klaus Berndsen, was subsequently asked to explain possible causal relationships in an opinion.
Snoring is not only a considerable own stress, but also often an intolerable and annoying noise for the spouse. While occasional snoring is usually harmless, snoring accompanied by frequent breathing interruptions requires treatment, particularly if the concerned person subsequently often feels tired in the daytime. The main cause of snoring and also sleep apnea is the atony of muscles and tissues in the mouth, throat, nasal cavity. Saggy tissue narrows the air passages to the lungs.
Cranio-mandibular dysfunction, abbreviated CMD, is used as the generic term for a multitude of complaints that concern the masticatory system. Besides pain and movement disturbances in the temporomandibular joint or chewing musculature often accompanied by a restricted mouth opening, as well as tinnitus, dizziness and swallowing difficulties, but also a supposedly incorrect bite are oftenly attributed to the most common symptoms of CMD …
Pain in the region of head, shoulder, neck and back can be caused by numerous triggers. In most cases, muscle tension, through static deficiencies and incorrect loads, is the cause of the pain. As the age grows, typical wear phenomena are also associated. Wear, however, does not necessarily lead to a pain problem. Despite degenerative alterations, most people remain mostly free of pain. In others, however, intermittent pain occurs sooner or later, which can lead to chronic long-term pain.
