Does FaceFormer® training reduce an asymmetry of the face halves?
Question
Can the FaceFormer also be used to improve the appearance in order to reduce asymmetry of the halves of the face caused by jaw joints of different lengths? Is there any experience of this?
Antwort
Be sure to train intensively with the FaceFormer! Asymmetry in the face usually never develops due to different lengths of the lower jaw sides, but due to a shift in the lower jaw. The lower jaw is gradually moved muscularly to one side. It does not remain in this position, but is continuously moved further. This process goes on for years and it is highly likely that pain in the jaw joints, headaches, etc. will occur at some point.
Such a malposition should definitely be corrected functionally with FaceFormer exercises. Under no circumstances should bite splints be used, which are unfortunately prescribed time and again. Correction is an active process that takes several months because the malposition has developed over many years. What has developed incorrectly over the years cannot be corrected immediately. So train regularly and properly if you really want to be successful. Don’t lose patience and persevere. It’s worth it!
