My teeth no longer clenched.I was able to sleep again.
The patient suffered from severe jaw pain that brought him to the brink of despair.After several painfully long years, accompanied by countless useless treatments, FaceFormer therapy finally brought salvation.
For 15 years of my life I lived with massive jaw pain that really drove me to despair.Constantly new treatments with bite splints, physiotherapy, osteopathy. I didn’t leave anything out and tried everything intensively, but to no avail. Some treatments did provide short-term relief, but after a few days everything was just as bad as before. I could hardly sleep because of the pain and my jaw joints became increasingly blocked.
No new causes were found when I went back to the dentist. So I continued with bite splints etc. The doctor recommended additional psychological treatment. This recommendation was shocking and unconvincing for me. By chance, I found an orthodontist who I went to see and asked his opinion. He examined me, explained the connections to special functions and recommended treatment at the practice of Dr. Klaus Berndsen and Sabine Berndsen in Unna.
The first appointment was very exciting for me. After all the frustrations, I had hardly any positive expectations, but I was still looking for help.Mrs. Berndsen explained to me the connections between dysfunctions in the mouth, jaw and facial area and the muscular activities and postures. She would treat me if I was prepared to have the patience to practise something at home every day. At this point, after 15 years of treatment, I could no longer imagine that my condition could improve at all, but I was happy to accept it.
Treatment began with the systematic application of FaceFormer therapy. I should use these daily at home and vary and increase them according to the instructions. There were also exercises for the muscles of the face, head and body posture.
Everything was completely new to me and my many years of negative therapy experiences had made me skeptical. However, I have carried out all applications correctly and regularly. My situation gradually improved and the pain reduced considerably after a short time. I was soon able to hold the FaceFormer in my mouth at night. The teeth no longer clenched. I was able to sleep again.

Heute nach etwa 9 Monaten Behandlungszeit (in etwa wurde mir dieser Zeitraum vorher angekündigt) bin ich völlig schmerzfrei. Für die motivierende, konsequente Behandlung bedanke ich mich ganz herzlich bei der Praxis Dr. Berndsen, wo mir Kompetenz und viel Geduld entgegengebracht wurde.
