Does FaceFormer® Training reduce asymmetry of the face halves?
Question
Can the FacFormer also be used to reduce the asymmetry of the halves of the face caused by temporomandibular joints of different lengths, i.e. to improve the appearance? Are there any experiences in this respect?
Answer
It is essential that you train intensively with the FaceFormer! As a rule, asymmetry in the face never develops due to different lengths of the lower jaw sides, but due to the shift of the lower jaw.
Muscularly, the lower jaw is gradually moved to one side and it not only remains in this position but moves continuously. This process goes on for years and there is a high probability to develop pain in the jaw joints, headaches, etc. at some point. Such a misalignment should definitely be corrected functionally, i.e. with FaceFormer exercises and under no circumstances with bite splints, which are, however, often prescripted by doctors.
Correction is a process that takes several months. After all, the development of the malposition has taken place over many years. So don’t lose your patience! What has developed over several years won’t immediately vanish overnight. Train regularly and correctly if you really want to be successful.
