Is the FaceFormer® available in different sizes?

My 6-year-old son has a myofunctional disorder. His speech therapist has recommended the FaceFormer for treatment. We would now like to try it out.
Is the FaceFormer available in special sizes for different age groups?

Answer

There are no different sizes of FaceFormer. The dimensions of the FaceFormer are adapted to the usual anatomical proportions in the mouth of most people of all ages. The FaceFormer can usually be used for children from the age of 2. For children up to the age of 10, we recommend the continuous use of the softer FaceFormer ZERO.

The membrane of the FaceFormer creates a negative pressure in the oral cavity, which is essential for the success of the therapy. It is therefore important that the FaceFormer’s mouth shield is not too small.

Only in extremely rare cases does it happen that the FaceFormer is actually too large. In principle, it is then possible to carefully trim the edge of the mouth shield with sharp scissors.
