All my problems have disappeared into thin air! When I went to the dentist at the age of 20, plagued by constant jaw pain, he diagnosed teeth grinding or CMD and gave me the first grinding splint. Unfortunately, this did not permanently alleviate my complaints, on the contrary, it got worse and worse and more symptoms appeared in the course of the following 27!!!!! years.

Odyssey from one doctor to the next

The orthopedist made inserts to fix the problem from below and many dentists had new ideas for splints. Rather a thickness with high buildup in the upper jaw, the next swore by an almost undetectable model necessarily in the lower jaw. From headaches, earaches, dizziness, partly the sound stayed away on my ears, I had at some point pain / tension from head to toe! And also went through at doctor’s visits, physiotherapy, osteopathy everything there is so. At some point I ended up in the psycho drawer and was treated accordingly, because I could no longer sleep well at night and was accordingly exhausted. Yoga, autogenic training, Quigong, mother child cure, didn’t help and therefore sleeping pills, antidepressants etc. were part of my everyday life.

No solution in sight for a long time

At some point it was clear to me that all this was not a solution, but only an alleviation of my symptoms, but also no one seriously recognized anything other than stress, bad childhood, etc. as the cause. Thus, a year ago I made my last attempt at a local dentist, who referred me to orthodontics. I had also already in the program, which brought nothing (O-tone at that time: there you must take 20,000 euros in the hand and we rehabilitate your jaw)…..

Finally a diagnosis

Following an impulse, I nevertheless made an appointment with the orthodontist and for the first time someone told me what was most likely the cause of my nightly teeth grinding. The position of my tongue would be the problem! For 27 years I have been banging down the door of all doctors and therapists, but I have never heard a word about the position of my tongue! I must have looked correspondingly stupid when my doctor handed me the FaceFormer, along with an address for speech therapy, and was confident that it would help. I had a really good feeling, started the training and arranged 10 sessions with a speech therapist.

Permanent relief after a short time

What can I say, after a very short time I already noticed relief at the jaw and also all other problems at the cervical spine, tension and especially the headaches disappeared within a very short time and permanently.

I am sooooo grateful that after this long time I finally found the cause, I can’t tell anyone with words, but the FaceFormer has changed my life 180° for the better. Therefore, I really hope that dentists, family doctors, etc. will be sensitized to this issue and always keep it in mind in case of similar problems. In any case, my family doctor is happy to pass it on to her patients!
