Position of the tongue tip

  1. The tip of the tongue is located a few millimeters behind the upper incisors on the palate.
  2. There, the tongue tip feels a small bulge. It does not touch the teeth.
  3. This position of the tongue tip is always maintained. It is the natural, correct posture and must become a habit.

Proper position of the tongue tip

Head position, straightened neck and nose breathing

Head position and straightened neck

The head is upright and the neck is stretched.
This natural proper head posture is always maintained and must become a habit.
It determines the head balance, body posture and body statics.

Posture of the lower jaw

The upper incisors are in front of the lower ones. *
Do not push the lower outward.
The temporomandibular joints adjust to a natural, relieved position.

Step 3 – Nightly application

Nightly application

Due to the training your nasal breathing improves noticeably after about 2-3 weeks.
Additionally, insert the FaceFormer now also at night.
The nightly application promotes

  • Nasal breathing and mouth closure
  • Underpressure in mouth and throat
  • Strengthening of muscles and tissues
  • Stabilization of the posture and tension of the tongue, soft palate and throat
  • Automation of movement patterns
Nach 14 Tagen FaceFormer nachts einsetzen

After 14 days, insert the FaceFormer also at night.

Nächtliche Faceformer Anwendung

The path to your success

Method 3-6-20

Practice daily for at least 6 months, even though success occurs quickly.

Please note: In rare cases, skin irritation may occur in the mouth. Temporarily reduce the training to 8-10 repetitions, 2-3 times a day. Then continue training as described. In addition, you can apply lip balm on both sides of the FaceFormer’s mouth shield.

More Info

Continuous Face Former training has an effective influence on cranial nerve function and brain performance, neurophysiological patterning, coordination, tension of tissues and muscles, forming of underpressure in mouth and throat, functions in the mouth, throat and facial regions, body posture, body movement and sensory abilities.
Causal treatments, such as the Face Former therapy, are designed to achieve positive changes that ensue gradually with lasting success. Corrected functions can replace medications and aids, likewise surgeries can be avoided. Therefore, causal therapies are generally preferable to symptomatic treatments.

Often the FaceFormer therapy brings positive changes after only a few days or weeks. To stabilize the new postures and movement patterns, the training should be maintained for at least 6 months.

Supplementary pulling exercises

The supplementary pulling exercises are performed as described in step 2. Only the pull direction is changed.

Pulling exercise: Pull downwards

Pulling exercise: Pull upwards

Good to know

Prevention and treatment of causes are the primary goal of any medical aid. Human health can thus be protected and can also be stabilised.

The FaceFormer therapy developed by us aims at the causative correction of health disorders – starting from the head. Eating, drinking, swallowing, breathing, jaw movement and head balance are vital functions of the head, neck and throat region.

Disorders of these functions have a significant influence on human health. They can cause aberrations, stress and pain in various body regions. FaceFormer therapy focuses on the correction of such malfunctions and their implications. Natural movement patterns and postures are practised, learned and stabilized. Thus, the FaceFormer therapy follows the ideal of a causal neurophysiological treatment.

The FaceFormer exercises are effective and easy to perform. First successes often occur after only a few days. Let it motivate and inspire you and consistently maintain the FaceFormer program for 6 months. In this way, the newly acquired skills are automated and become a habit.

Dr. Klaus Berndsen und Sabine Berndsen

We wish you much success and are happy to be there for you.

Cleaning and Hygiene

  1. Each user has his own FaceFormer (no use of multiple persons).
  2. After normal use, the FaceFormer is rinsed under warm water (toothbrush principle).
  3. The cleaned FaceFormer is stored in the designated hygiene box.
  4. In clinics the FaceFormer is autoclaved regularly (110 to 130 °C).
  5. For non-hospital use, at home, the FaceFormer can be sterilized in boiling water for about 20 seconds.
  6. In special cases (for example, infectious users), a doctor or hygienist will decide on sterilization measures.
