Does the pressure from the FaceFormer® cause tooth displacement?
Due to a CMD disease I was advised to use the FaceFormer and I am very enthusiastic about it. Many thanks for this great development. However, I wonder if the negative pressure can cause a tooth shift? I already feel the pressure on the incisors as relatively strong. When I take the FaceFormer out of my mouth in the morning, the pressure is clearly noticeable.
The pressure on the teeth is actually an additional, extremely positive characteristic.
As you can observe in the next few weeks, teeth protruding from the dental arch or rotated teeth are also corrected with this method. During the exercises and at night, the FaceFormer sucks itself into the teeth. Because the mouth shield is flexible, the teeth protruding from the dental arch are subjected to increased pressure and thus will gradually integrate.
The effect is similar to that of braces, only the pressure distribution is more optimal with the FaceFormer. At the same time, the causes for the protruding teeth are also corrected. So first of all accept the perceived pressure. Nothing negative will happen. Once the teeth have inserted themselves into the dental arch, they will not notice anything.
